ReplyDeletethere was a weekly coffee/house talent show when i was in the state psych hospital... i was amazed at the talent that existed within that institution. very cool to see the world through someone else's eyes.
ReplyDeleteit reminds me of the book "couldn't keep it to myself," by wally lamb... he taught women how to write a story. and then, when they wrote their stories, he helped edit them, and published them. they too are amazing, and the guy is right-- it's all about knowing about life.
