Baby's First Laptop

I just stumbled across this on the Amazon web site and had to post it. People have been writing lately about the effects of technology on kids, but I guess it's not that serious since we're making 'real' technology for babies now. What's next? Baby-safe web sites? Infant chat rooms? Babble blogs? (Oh what, we've got those already...)

  1. Make sure baby doesn't lose that laptop in airport security. Clink, they took the books out of the library, they are many libraries that are referred to by any name but library. There was no choice but to put tech into the kiddies' hands. Keep an eye out next for the talking diaper.

  2. Couldn't agree more about lame toys like this. Everyone knows that your child only wants to play with a cardboard box, your car keys, your credit cards - basically the junk in your purse.

Technology - I can't even stand to watch teenagers and many adults carry on a 2 hour dialogue via text messaging!

  3. kids like things that make noises and light up.
kids like things that their parents have.

not sure why this is such a big deal. sure, the quality of many of those toys but I really don't see the big deal.
